Profile : John Winkler Jr, painter/photographer
Since his recent retirement from IBM, John Winkler Jr has taken the opprtunity to do something he has always wanted to do - pursue becoming an artist.
"I have studied under Paul Gould, a local well known Hudson Valley Artist, for the past 2 years. Also I have attended Pastel classes with Pastel Artist Gayle Fedigan and Watercolor classes with the late Michelle Lester. My primary interest is in painting landscapes, seascapes, animals and flowers. I have painted in oils, pastels, watercolor and acrylics. I am currently doing all my work in oil and pastel."
John is a member of the Kent Art Association, Hudson Valley Artisans Guild, and the Barrett Art Center. He has prints of his work available in various sizes. ¶ 3:42 PM
